PENTAGON<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The PENTAGON reserve parachute stands out for its innovative design combined with high-quality materials. Once opened, the PENTAGON impresses with its rapid opening, instant swing damping and low collapse rate. The result is a reserve parachute that you can fully rely on in any situation.<\/p>\n

Five sides for high swing stability. The five-sided shape is self-balancing: if the PENTAGON experiences a swing towards a corner, the restoring force will automatically move in the opposite direction. Opposite a corner is an edge where the air flow is significantly different, and this prevents unwanted oscillations. The resulting oscillation balance is excellent.<\/div>\n

Turns on fast, descends slowly. The descent rate is extraordinarily low: at the time of certification, the descent rate of the Pentagon 120 with a maximum load is 5,2 m\/s.<\/div>\n

Five-corner design for quick opening. The five corners help to inflate during opening. Deployment is faster and more reliable than conventional parachutes. Not only is this critical when close to the ground, but it also reduces the risk of the parachute becoming entangled in the ropes of the paraglider before deploying.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Pentagon was designed in collaboration with Urs Haari of High Adventure. Urs benefited from his experience of more than 300 jumps with various parachutes. He extensively tested the Pentagon during different design phases. The focus was on tests with the paraglider attached. In practice, this is much more effective than the certification test scenario, in which the paraglider is thrown. Practical tests were supplemented by flow simulations of various designs. In the end, the Pentagon turned out to be the best of all solutions.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Pentagon is one of the few parachutes to pass both the EN collapse speed tests and the subsequent water descent with the same test parachute. This means that there is no reason to worry about the working functionality of the parachute after landing in the water during a SIV course. This is thanks to the Edelrid lines and the high-quality Porcher Sports fabric, which retain its material properties even after intense contact with water.<\/div>\n
